Last Meeting
Wichita State traveled to Omaha last year on Nov. 10, 2017 in the season opener that saw Creighton hold off a late WSU comeback, 66-61. Rangie Bessard scored a game-high 19 points to go with nine rebounds, while Keke Thompson stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, eight boards, six assists and two steals. Creighton shot 58.5 percent for the game and won the rebounding battle despite turning the ball over 18 times.

Scouting the Bluejays

Creighton is 3-4 to open the 2018-19 campaign after wins against North Dakota State (86-51), Nebraska (74-65) and Omaha (66-51) and losses to South Dakota (65-77), South Dakota State (48-74), UNI (55-65) and Drake (69-85). Audrey Faber leads the Bluejays in scoring and rebounding at 17.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Jaylyn Agnew (11.7) and Olivia Elger (10.2) round out the double-figure scorers. Creighton ranks 3rd nationally in free throw percentage at 82.4 percent and also sits in the top 25 in 3-point field goals made (11th/9.9), assist/to ratio (21st/1.27) and turnovers (25th/13.0). Head Coach Jim Flanery enters his 17th season with Creighton as the school's all-time wins leader. He has a career record of 315-208 in his tenure with the Bluejays.

4-0 Start
The Shockers opened the season 4-0 for the first time since 1996-97. Wichita State defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff (76-39), Missouri State (63-60), Sam Houston State (63-55) and Houston Baptist (68-50) while holding those four opponents to a combined 29.5 percent shooting from the field. The defense has been even better guarding the three-point line. Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Missouri State, Sam Houston State and Houston Baptist combined to shoot 18-for-80 from beyond the arc, good for an 22.5 percent clip.

Bri Stuffs The Stat Sheet
Senior Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage did a little bit of everything in Wichita State's win over Louisiana Tech on Nov. 24. The Santa Fe, N.M., native poured in game highs of 16 points, 16 rebounds and five assists, while also adding two steals and a block. It marked her first double-double of the season and fourth of her career. The 16 rebounds were the most by a Shocker since she pulled down a career-high 17 vs. Bradley on Feb. 19, 2017. Lozada-Cabbage tallied her 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting, which brings her season field goal percentage to 68.3 percent (28-of-41) through six games.

Five More Minutes
Wichita State needed overtime to take down Missouri State on Nov. 10, marking the first overtime game for the Shockers since defeating Loyola (65-62) on Feb. 14, 2016 in Charles Koch Arena. Wichita State is 18-20 all-time in overtime contests, including a 9-8 mark at home. It is the seventh November overtime game in program history, four of those wins.

Home Sweet Home
Wichita State will play 18 games in front of its home crowd in 2018-19, marking the most home games in a single season. The Shockers have never played more than 17 games in a season on their own floor. Wichita State played 17 home contests in both 2008-09 and 2006-07 seasons.
