WICHITA, Kan. – The No. 48 Wichita State men's tennis team improved to a blistering 15-4 with Saturday wins over Creighton (7-0) and Newman (5-2) at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex.

WSU won the doubles point and 12 of a possible 13 sets against former MVC rival Creighton (11-3), defeating a couple of Kansas natives in the process.

Tin Ostojic took down Wichita-product Jake Norman at the No. 1 spot, 6-4, 6-4, and Tomislav Gregurovic knocked off Lindsborg-native Quinn Dippel at No. 2, 6-4, 6-2.

The Shockers experimented with their lineup in an afternoon match with Division II Newman.

Sergio de Vilchez and Jon Meyer joined the lineup and provided a boost with wins at Nos. 5 and 6 singles. Miroslav Herzan and Jocelyn Devilliers also provided points for the Shockers.

WSU plays its final two home matches next week against Southern Illinois (Wednesday, 2pm) and Drake (Friday, 6pm).
