WICHITA, Kan. --  Wichita State senior guard Alex Harden has been named the Missouri Valley Conference and College Sports Madness Players of the week, it was announced today.

Harden averaged 23.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.0 steals, 1.5 blocks and shot 60 percent (15-25) from the field to lead WSU to a 2-0 week with wins against Loyola and Bradley.

She had 20 points and seven rebounds against Loyola, and 26 points and eight rebounds against Bradley.  

Harden was 5-of-9 from the field against Loyola and 10-of-16 against Bradley, and also made 9-of-9 free throws in the Loyola game.
