Scouting Kansas State
Kansas State is 23-10 overall and 6-3 in the Big 12 and coming off of a sweep of Texas Tech over the weekend. Wins this season have come against High Point, George Mason, No. 8 Kentucky, Oakland three times, Niagara two times, No. 21 Cal Poly, Northern Colorado, West Virginia twice, Minnesota, Bethune Cookman three times, Nebraska twice, Baylor, Nebraska-Omaha and Texas Tech three times. Losses have come against The Citadel, Coastal Carolina, Elon, No. 21 Cal Poly twice, Northern Colorado, West Virginia, Minnesota and Baylor twice. As a team, the Wildcats are hitting .331 with a team ERA of 3.77. Eight Wildcats hit over .300 and seven have driven in 20 or more runs. KSU is led by 10th-year head coach Brad Hill.

Series History vs. the Wildcats
Wichita State leads the overall series with Kansas State, 53-30.  The Shockers also lead the series 50-18 under head coach Gene Stephenson.  WSU leads the series in Manhattan, Kan., 21-13 overall and 21-8 under Stephenson.  KSU has won six of the last 10 meetings overall.   

Last Meeting vs. KSU
The two teams last met May 1, 2012, in Wichita. The Shockers won 10-3. Johnny Coy went 5-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles and a triple. TJ McGreevy threw three shutout innings in relief to earn the win.

Moore Gets First Hit
Junior college transfer Sean Moore started his Shocker career 0-for-5, but had his first Division I hit on Sunday against Indiana State. Moore hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning of the game for his first career hit as a Shocker and first career home run. It was also the first time the Shockers had a pinch-hit home run since Travis Bennett did it against Evansville in 2010.
 
LaBrie Impressive Out of the Pen
Junior pitcher Aaron LaBrie made two more appearances for the Shockers last week and did not allow a run. LaBrie is now 2-0 this season in 14 appearances with a 0.61 ERA and two saves. He has not allowed a run in 12 of his 14 appearances this season.
