LUBBOCK, Texas- The Wichita State men's tennis fought hard
in doubles play and forced four singles matches to third sets in their 6-1 loss
to No. 27 Texas Tech on Saturday.
In doubles play, Matheus Pereira and Tin Ostojic defeated
Felipe Soares and Jeff Bryan of Texas Tech, 8-5, to grab their third victory on
the season as a duo. The Shockers would drop the doubles point however, losing
the other two matches.
In singles play, Matheus Pereira grabbed a big win at the
No. 1 position when he defeated Vitor Manzini, 4-6, 6-3, 12-10. Tomislav
Gregurovic, Erick Reyes and Tin Ostojic all played their matches into a third
set, but were not able to grab victories.
The Shockers will stay in Lubbock to take on Lamar on Sunday.
First serve is set for 10 a.m.
