WICHITA, Kan.- Fans will get their first opportunity to view the 2013-14 men's and women's basketball teams during the annual “Shocker Madness” on Fri., Oct. 18 inside Charles Koch Arena.
 
The evening begins with volleyball's match against Bradley at 6 p.m. The basketball portion will begin at 8 p.m. and will feature team introductions, live scrimmages, men's dunk contest, women's 3-point contest, Final Four ring presentation, and the 2013 women's basketball NCAA Tournament banner drop. Head coaches Jody Adams and Gregg Marshall will both address the crowd.
 
“Shocker Madness” will start with the introduction of the women's basketball team and banner drop. The team will then participate in a 30-minute scrimmage followed by remarks by head coach Jody Adams.
 
ESPNU will begin its telecast at 9 p.m., with introductions of the men's basketball team and the 2013 Final Four ring presentation. The team will then participate in a dunk contest before a 20-minute scrimmage. Head coach Gregg Marshall will then speak to the fans in attendance to conclude the event.
 
Admission is free to the basketball portion and Accent Mobile Music will provide live music throughout the evening. Regular admission applies to the volleyball match.
 
Concession stands will be open and carry game fare, while men's and women's basketball season tickets will also be on sale at the Shocker ticket office during the event.
