WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State men's tennis team travels
to Tulsa, Okla. this weekend to start the ITA All-American Championships. The
tournament will run from Sept. 29 to Oct. 7, at the Case
Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa.
The pre-qualifying rounds will be played on Saturday and
Sunday, where Tomislav Gregurovic, Alvaro Gutierrez and Tin Ostojic all
received byes in the first round of the bracket. In the second round,
Gregurovic will take on the winner of Jonathan Cornish of Virginia and Rhys
Michael-Johnson of Vanderbilt, Gutierrez will play the winner of Giacomo
Miccini of Arizona and Will David of Michigan State, and Ostojic will take on
Jordan Szabo of Texas A&M, who also received a bye.
Sophomore Erick Reyes will play will take on Behzad Minavi
of Texas A&M in the first round, and will play J. Harrison-Richmond of
Virginia in the second round if he is able to move on.
Senior Matheus Pereira and junior Guillermo Nicol have already earned their way into the
qualifying rounds, which start on Monday, October 1.
