WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State (24-8) plays host to Nebraska (19-12) at 6 p.m., Wed., March 16, in the Shockers' 12th overall NIT appearance. The game is set to be televised on ESPN2.
Nebraska, a Big XII Conference member, finished 7-9 in conference play tied for seventh. Having one common opponent this season, the Huskers defeated Missouri Valley Conference-member Creighton, 59-54, Dec. 5, in Lincoln.
The deadline for WSU season ticket holders to reserve their seats for the NIT game has been extended to 11 a.m., Monday, on GoShockers.com, or by calling or visiting the Shocker Ticket Office.
Following that deadline on Monday, the ticket office will close at 11 a.m., and re-open at 1 p.m., to sell the remaining tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets can be picked up at will-call anytime before the game at the Shocker Ticket Office, or patrons can select the print at home option for the ticket to be e-mailed and printed for use at the game.
Tickets can be purchased online at GoShockers.com, by calling the Shocker Ticket Office at (316) 978-FANS (3267), or in-person at the Shocker Ticket Office on the southwest corner of Charles Koch Arena located on the corner of 21st and Hillside. The Shocker Ticket Office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily for in-person and telephone sales.
SASO members will use the same parking tag and numbered stall as they used during the regular season. Contact the SASO Office with questions regarding parking at (316) 978-7276.
Tickets for reserved seats in the lower bowl cost $25; upper bowl tickets cost $23. General admission tickets are $20.
Wichita State students must also purchase tickets to this postseason game at $4 each (per NIT designated minimum) with a valid student ID. Student tickets will not be distributed at campus locations.
Season ticket holders who pre-purchased their tickets last week can begin to pick up their pre-ordered tickets at 8:30 a.m., Monday.
The Shockers are 24-8 overall and finished runner-up in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 14-4 record. WSU also carries a 12-4 home record and an 8-2 record away from Wichita.
The Shockers are led in scoring by senior forward J.T. Durley, who averages 11.3 points a game.
