WICHITA, Kan. -- Head Coach Brad Louderback and his coaching staff welcome Matheus de Paula Pereira to the roster to start the Shockers 2009-10 campaign.

Born on October 31, 1990 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Matheus is the son of Rubens Pereira do Santos and Marta de Paula Pereira. He has one brother, Marcel de Paula Pereira (20) and has not yet decided on a major at WSU.

Also recruited by Buffalo University and Drake, Pereira will look to help the Shockers improve on last year's 10-13 record.
