LINCOLN, Neb. -- Wichita State was unable to fend off No. 41 Nebraska as the Huskers swept the Shockers at home, 7-0.

The Huskers got things rolling by collecting the doubles point. The No. 1 duo of David Bendheim and Calin Paar knocked off Vlad Marinescu and Adrian Chermaci, 8-3. The No. 2 match also went in the Huskers favor when Christopher Aumueller and Benedikt Lindheim defeated Jonathan Obrist and Michal Zawadski of Wichita State, 8-4. The Shocks notched their only victory of the evening when David Cavalcanti and Matt Teivans rolled over Hendrik Stahmer and Francois Van Impe in the No. 3 doubles match, 8-2.

In singles play, the Huskers continued their winning ways. Benheim topped Marinescu in the No. 1 match, 7-6, 6-2. Although Chermaci took Paar to a third set, he was unable to hold the Husker off as he fell in the No. 2 spot, 6-4, 0-6, 6-3. Amueller defeated Obrist in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0. Zawadski suffered the same fate when he fell to Stahmer, 6-0, 6-1. Cavalcanti took his match to a tiebreaker in the third set of his No. 5 match, 6-4, 3-6, 10-0. Teivans rounded out the Shocker lineup when Renato Melo in the No. 6 match, 6-4, 6-2.

The Huskers moved to 9-2 on the season while the Shockers fell to 5-5.
