As a Sophomore: In the spring, Teivans posted a 10-9 singles record…Switched from the No. 6 position to No. 5 to earn a 5-1 conference record…Posted an 11-11 overall doubles record and a 3-3 conference record that included one unfinished match …Teamed up with Scott McCormick for the last month of the season after playing with David Cavalcanti for the majority of the season…Defeated Michael Wehnham of Indiana State in straight sets, (6-2, 6-0) at the Missouri Valley tournament… Paired with Cavalcanti, knocked off Hendrik Stahmer and Francois Van Impe of #68 Nebraska, 8-2
In the fall, Teivans posted a 4-4 mark in the fall individual season, where he defeated Texas-Arlington’s Mindauguas Celedinas in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4, at the ITA All-American Championships Pre-Qualifying tournament...Went 2-3 in
doubles play and teamed with Jonathan Obrist to defeat SIU’s Eric West
and Felipe Villasenor, 8-4, at the Missouri Valley Conference Individual
Championships.
As a Freshman: Posted an 11-5 mark in singles play...opened his WSU career with a 6-2, 6-0 win over UMKC's Nick Mader in his only match at No. 5...Went 4-1 iin Valley play, with his only loss coming in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0, to #53 Drake's Ivan Mendoza...Put together a six-match win streak in which he lost just 12 of 72 possible games...The streak started with a 6-0, 6-2 win over #73 Nebraska's Karl Jones...Posted a 7-5 mark in doubles play, where he went 3-1 in the Valley with partner Tiago Espirito Santo...Only loss came to #53 Drake's Dalibor Pavic and Maor Zirkin, 8-2.
Prior to WSU: Lettered in Drive Tennis from 2003-07 and posted a 50-2 singles record and an 86-0 doubles record...Named "Tennis South Australia Player-of-the-Year", and Rookie-of-the-Year of the Pennant Premier League...Was ranked as high as No. 3 in Australian Juniors...Led Marryatville HS to the 2006 Australian National Championship.
