SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Wichita State University men's and women's cross country teams will be looking to make some noise at the NCAA Regional meet this Saturday, Nov. 14.
The regional meet is being hosted by Missouri State University and will include schools from 10 conferences including the Atlantic 10, Big Ten, Big East, Conference-USA, Ohio Valley, Horizon League, Mid-American, Summitt League, and the Missouri Valley.
The Midwest Regional serves as the first round of the NCAA Championships with the top two teams and top four individuals, not on a qualifying team, automatically advancing to the national championship. An at-large process determines the additional teams and individuals following the completion of the regional meet
Kellyn Johnson finished fifth in last year's regional meet for the women while Scott Reed was the top male finisher, placing 29th.
The men will race at 12 p.m., on Saturday while the women go at 1:15 p.m.
