WICHITA -- Wichita State hosted its annual Shocks, Cops and Kids event inside Charles Koch Arena recently.

Shocks, Cops and Kids is an event sponsored by the Wichita Police Department, Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department, Cox Communications and Wichita State University Athletics. The event focuses on teaching kids about internet safety, honesty and responsibility, health and nutrition, making good choices and sport skills. 

The workshops in the morning focused on internet safety, health and nutrition, honesty and responsibility, and basketball skills with both the men's and women's basketball teams. 

Greg “The Hitman” Williams addressed the kids during the lunch hour and a field day was conducted in the afternoon with participation from the men's track and field, women's track and field, softball and baseball teams.
