Kelvin Busienei Career Stats
2013 (JUNIOR): INDOOR- Placed fifth in the 800m run at the MVC Indoor Championships. Won the 5,000m run at the Adidas Classic with a personal best of 15:12.97. Competed in the 1,000m run (4:29.46) at the Herm Wilson Invitational, and the 3,000m run (9:01.83) at the Varsity Apartments Invitational. Ran the 5,000m race at the Iowa State Classic with a time of 15:46.13. OUTDOOR- Crossed the finish line with a personal best of 15:29.37 in the 5,000m run at the Track-It-Buster-Invitational. Ran a personal best of 8:56.33 to finish 17th in the 3,000m run at the Arkansas Spring Invitational.
Butler Community College: Earned All-America honors four times at the JUCO level. Finished as the Runner-Up in 1000m and 1600m at the 2012 Indoor Championships. Won Athlete of the Year Honors for the Grizzlies.
Sunrise Mountain High School: Won three regional championships and a District Championship for the Mustangs. Earned Most Valuable Runner Honors. Lettered in Track, Cross Country and soccer.
Personal: Son of Elizabeth and Michael Businei. Has a younger sister, Cynthia. Kelvin's uncle, Paul also ran track in college.
