Last Matches Recap
• Wichita State swept a road trip to Texas earlier this week, beating Abilene Christian on Thursday and UT Arlington on Friday.
• Against Abilene Christian, the Shockers quickly took doubles with a 6-1 win by Rodrigo Cruz and Ilias Worthington at No. 2, and a 6-3 victory by Zaid Al Mashni and Pablo Roche Alcaya at No. 1.
• In singles, Al Mashni, Alcaya and Cruz earned singles wins to secure a 4-3 victory.
• Against UT Arlington on Friday, the Shockers earned the doubles point with a forfeit win at No. 3 and a 6-3 win by Worthington and Cruz at No. 2.
• Wichita State took another forfeit victory in singles at No. 6, before wins by Luke Bracks and Alcaya secured the 4-0 match victory.
Returners to the Lineup
• Five Shockers return for another season in Wichita in 2026.
• The five returners combined for 39 of the team's 65 dual-match singles wins last season.
• Three of the top five Shockers in singles wins—Jacome, Worthington, and Amir Milushev—are back with Wichita State.
Newcomers
• The Shockers have four new players for the 2025–26 season, with three arriving for the spring semester.
• All four—Alcaya, Cruz, Felix Bockelmann-Evans and James Lammas—arrived in Wichita as true freshmen.
