LAKE CHARLES, La. – Wichita State heads to the Country Club at the Golden Nugget to play in the Golden Nugget Invitational March 2-3.

The trip to Lake Charles will be the third tournament of the year for the Shockers and their third consecutive week competing.

Last week in the Lake Las Vegas Collegiate, the Shockers took ninth, with
Jose Miguel Ramirez leading the way, tying for 18th. For Ramirez, it was his sixth top 20 finish of the season in seven tournaments.Â

Michael Robson fired the best round of the week for the Shockers with a 6-under 66 in the third round. It was his second-lowest single round of the season.

The ninth-place finish for the Shockers was just their second time finishing outside of the top five in the 2025-26 season.
