WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State head men's golf coach Judd Easterling announced Tuesday the hiring of Mark Leroux as the next assistant coach of the Wichita State University men's golf program.

Leroux comes to Wichita State with 27 years of college golf head coaching experience, going back to 1997.

"I'm extremely excited for Mark Leroux to join our staff," Easterling said. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and resourcefulness to our program from his long-time head coaching experience."

Easterling's college golf coaching career began as Leroux's assistant coach at Missouri from 2013 to 2015.

"I'm very thankful to athletic director Kevin Saal and Coach Easterling for this opportunity at Wichita State," Leroux said. "My wife and I are very excited to move to Wichita and become a part of Shocker Nation."

Leroux most famously spent 19 years as the head men's golf coach of the Missouri Tigers from 2004 to 2023. He led the Tigers to 38 total team victories and 15 NCAA Tournament appearances in his 19 years as head coach. Leroux took the Tigers to the NCAA Finals twice in 2005 and 2014, finishing 20th in the nation both times.

Away from college golf, Leroux is a Class A Member of the Professional Golf Association (PGA) of America and is TPI certified. In 2014, Leroux helped coach Team USA to a Toyota Junior World Silver Medal.

Leroux and his wife Leslie come to Wichita after Leroux spent the past two seasons as the head women's golf coach at Barry University, an NCAA Division II athletics powerhouse in Miami Shores, Florida.

Leroux and Leslie have two sons, Ty and Lake. Lake played at Wichita State under Coach Easterling from 2019 to 2021.
