What's next: The second-seeded AfterShocks play top-seeded Forever Coogs at 8 p.m. Tuesday (TBT YouTube) at Koch Arena in the Wichita Regional of The Basketball Tournament. Forever Coogs, a team of Houston alums, defeated Fire Family 82-69 on Sunday.

Recap: The AfterShocks advanced to the final 16 of the 61-team tournament for a fourth time in six TBT appearances. They last advanced to the final eight in 2023. The AfterShocks improved to 14-5 in TBT.
Sibande and Hammonds came off the bench to lead the offense with three-point shooting. Sibande, who finished his college career at Pitsburgh, made 5 of 6 threes. Hammonds, from Oklahoma State, made 4 of 7.
The AfterShocks hit 13 of 37 threes (35.1 percent) and outscored Challege ALS by 13 points at the foul line. Markis McDuffie grabbed five offensive rebounds to help the AfterShocks to a 15-4 edge in that category.
The AfterShocks pulled away with a 20-11 edge in the second quarter with McDuffie scoring seven points. They led 46-29 at halftime.
