IOWA CITY, Iowa. – The Wichita State men's golf team wraps up their regular season with a trip to Finkbine Golf Course to compete in the Hawkeye Intercollegiate beginning on April 13.
Last time out, the Shockers put up what could've been their best tournament of the season, tying for third place at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Maricopa, Ariz., back on April 1.
In Maricopa, Wichita State beat eight top 100 teams, including wins over No. 50 Grand Canyon and No. 42 USC, and the Shockers tied with No. 35 San Diego.
Jose Miguel Ramirez and
Jose Carletta led the way for the Shockers, finishing fourth and ninth, respectively.
Last year in Iowa City, senior
Blake Lorenz led the Shockers to a 13th-place finish at Finkbine.
