LAS VEGAS – The No. 75 Wichita State men's tennis team fell to the UNLV Rebels 4-2 on Monday afternoon at Fertitta Tennis Center.

The Shockers (8-9) saw their three-match winning streak end with the defeat.

In doubles, the Shockers would take the point with a 6-2 win by
Vanja Hodzic and
Luke Bracks at court three and clinched the point with a 6-4 win by
Kristof Minarik and
Ilias Worthington at court two.

Needing three points to take the match, things started well for the Shockers as they took the first set on four of six singles courts and
Amir Milushev picked up a swift 6-2, 6-0 win at court six, putting WSU up 2-0 in the match.

The tides ultimately turned in favor of the Rebels as they knocked off Hodzic at court three 6-4, 6-4 and then bested Worthington in three sets 3-6, 6-0, 6-3 at court three, tying the match at 2-2.

Minarik was defeated next 4-6, 6-2, 6-0 at court one, putting the Rebels up 3-2.

UNLV clinched and ended the match with a 7-6 (5), 6-4 win over
Luke Bracks at court five, taking the 4-2 win.

Next up, the Shockers return home to face UT Arlington on March 26.
