It took heading to a tiebreak, but the Shockers got done what they couldn't do on Sunday against Charlotte, winning the break 7-3 to clinch doubles for the Shockers.

Singles remained just as tight as doubles, with each team snagging a first set on three of the six singles courts.

Wichita State's Ilias Worthington was the first to punch a victory ticket, winning 6-3, 6-4 at court four to give the Shockers a 2-0 lead.

Next, WSU's Jacome fell 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 at court two, cutting it back to a one-point difference on the scoreboard.
