TUCSON, Ariz. – The Wichita State men's golf team finished 11
th in the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate on Tuesday evening at Tucson Country Club
The Shockers' 11th-place finish came with a score of 913, 49 strokes over par, and with round scores of 292, 314, and 307.
Host No. 25 Arizona edged out No. 29 Long Beach State for the team crown, winning by one stroke with an 867 (+3) score. Utah's Brandon Robison won the individual title with a 211 (-5) tournament score.
The Shockers got off to an excellent start in round one on Monday morning, finishing tied for second through the opening nine holes. However, it was all downhill from there, as they were unable to replicate that success the rest of the tournament.
Freshman
Caden Cox battled illness and did not compete in the tournament's first two rounds.
