CANCUN, Mexico – Jose Miguel Ramirez's sixth-place finish led the Wichita State men's golf team as they tied for tenth place in the Los Vaqueros Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon. 
 
The Shockers tied for tenth with UTRGV with a total score of 912. SMU won the team title by a wide margin, finishing 15 strokes ahead of second-place UTEP with an even-par finish.
 
Ramirez was the only Shocker to finish top 25 in the tournament field, finishing tied for sixth. He birdied 11 holes, finishing even par for the tournament with a score of 216. He climbed as high as third place on the leaderboard in round two before ultimately finishing sixth.
 
Mitchell Revie was the next highest Shocker on the board. The junior finished 29^th at ten strokes over par.
