Box Score WICHITA, Kan. – Four Wichita State errors proved costly in the Shockers' 10-1 loss to the Missouri Tigers on Friday evening at Wilkins Stadium.

It took until the third inning, but it was the visiting Tigers striking first, lifting a ball over the fence in left field for a solo home run.Â

In the top of the fourth, Mizzou capitalized on four walks and two costly errors to score six runs in the inning, taking a 7-0 lead.

In the bottom half,
Taylor Sedlacek got the Shockers on the board with a solo homer to straight-away center to cut the deficit to 7-1.

In the top of the fifth, Mizzou added another run on an error, but
Sami Hood turned a fantastic double play to limit the damage and keep the score 8-1.Â

The Tigers added onto their lead in the seventh, scoring two runs to make it a 10-1 game.

Chloe Barber (2-4) suffered the loss for WSU, allowing six total runs on four hits with five strikeouts on the day.  In total, only five of the 10 Tiger runs in the game were earned.

Catelyn Beckerley and
Ellee Eck all recorded a hit for WSU.
