Giorgia Roselli begin play in the doubles bracket of the ITA Conference Masters Championship on Thursday at Barnes Tennis Center.

The No. 31-ranked Shocker pairing has been selected as the No. 5 overall seed in the doubles bracket, which features one selection from each NCAA Division I conference.Â

Wang and Roselli will make history on Thursday as the first Shockers to compete at Conference Masters. The Wichita State pair qualified for the event by winning the American Conference Doubles Championship on Oct. 26 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Shockers are set to face Colorado's Lera Alexin and Rixt van der Werff in the round of 32 at 5:30 PM CT. A win would send them to Friday's round of 16.Â

The two doubles finalists from Conference Masters and the third-place doubles tandem will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship, which begins on Nov. 19 at USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.Â
