LINCOLN, Neb. – The Shocker men's golf team wrapped up a ninth place finish at the Git-R-Done Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at Firethorn Golf Club.

Sam Houston State won the Invitational by a comfortable margin, finishing 22 strokes under par, eight ahead of second place South Alabama. The Bearkats Hugo Trommeter edged a pair of Jaguars for the individual crown, winning the title at 11 strokes under par.
 
The Shockers were never quite able to find their footing in Nebraska, opening the tournament tied for seventh after the first round. 
 
The team saw improved results in the second round, thanks to good playing from Michael Winslow, Jose Ramirez, and Jose Carletta, boosting the Shockers to as high as fifth place in the standings during the round.
 
Round three was another one of struggle for the Shockers, as no Shocker recorded a round under par. Ty Adkins put up his best showing of the tournament with a one-over par performance which was team best in the round.
