CANCUN, Mexico – The Wichita State men's golf team is ready and excited to begin their spring season with a trip across the border to Cancun, Mexico and Playa Paraiso Golf Club for a three-day battle on the Yucatan Peninsula.
Head Coach
Judd Easterling is eager and says his team is ready to compete in the spring campaign.
"The vibe here has been really good to start the spring," said Easterling. "The guys are putting in the work and the team culture is really good, plus everyone has been putting in the work and grinding to get better."
The Shockers are looking to rebound from a disappointing finish in their final fall tournament back in October at the NCAA White Sands Invitational in the Bahamas.
"The guys remember how we finished in the Bahamas and don't want to let that happen again," said Easterling. "Everyone is looking forward to this week here of good weather and getting on grass, qualifying, and competing again."
The Shocker lineup remains unchanged from the group that went to the Bahamas in October.
Lucas Scheufler will make the trip with the Shockers as an individual.
