Box Score TULSA, Okla. – A run to the doubles semifinals by Alejandro Jacome and Kristof Minarik highlighted the weekend for the Wichita State men's tennis team at the 2024 ITA Central Region Championships at Tulsa's Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
 
The Minarik/Jacome duo became the sixth Shockers to reach the doubles semifinals at Central Regionals all-time and the first since Andrea Caligiana and Miroslav Herzan did so in 2017.
 
The pair of Arenui Luethi and Luke Bracks collected a doubles win in the round of 64 before falling in the next round to Nebraska's Leo Linquet and Juan Espinosa.
 
In singles, all Shockers were able to reach the main draw, after Bracks, Ilias Worthington, and Luca Mindrut collected wins in qualifying to jump into the big dance.
 
In the main draw, Bracks and Minarik were the only two Shockers to collect a win, with Minarik winning two matches before falling to Memphis' Michael Kouame in the round of 16 in a tight three-set bout, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
