Alex Aguilar
Cooper is a lefty from Granbury, Texas. She went 11-4 with a 3.04 ERA last season, highlighted by a five-inning no-hitter in a 13-0 win over San Diego and six scoreless innings in relief in an 9-3 win over Kansas. She earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference All-Academic team both as a freshman and sophomore
Aguilar is from Midland, Texas. She was the AAC Rookie of the Year, a third-team NFCA All-Region pick and also on the AAC All-Academic team. She went 15-4 with 1 88 ERA. She threw a complete-game victory at No. 3 Oklahoma State, a 3-1 Shockers win.
The Shockers went 44-12, won the AAC title, and played in an NCAA regional against last season. They are the preseason favorite in the conference for 2024. WSU opens the season on Feb. 9 against Stephen F. Austin in the Bearkat Classic in Huntsville, Texas.
