Clay Overcash talks about why Oklahoma is such a strong baseball state and how the Shockers recruit Texas with increasing importance. We discuss his early impressions of the Shockers in fall workouts, his favorite catchers and why he decided to return to college coaching after talking with
Brian Green.
Overcash is Wichita State's recruiting coordinator and will work with the catchers. He comes to WSU after six seasons at Oklahoma, including a trip to the College World Series finals in 2022.

He also worked 18 years as a scout for the Chicago White Sox. He co-founded the Sandlot Sox in Tulsa, a program that turned out former Shockers such as Chris O'Brien, Brian Flynn and Jordan Cooper.
