Shockers Prepped for Regular Season Finale

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Wichita State men's tennis team is set for its final regular season match against Temple Tuesday at the USTA National Campus.
 
The match is slated for Noon CT/1 p.m. ET with live scoring available and will give both teams a preview of the courts for the American Athletic Conference tournament, which begins Friday.
 
State of the Shockers
Wichita State (11-14) is building momentum from its two-game win streak, having upset No. 55 SMU, 4-3 in Memphis, Tenn. Before clinching a 4-1 senior day victory over Creighton at home.
 
Alejandro Jacome leads the Shockers in singles wins with a 14-6 record across courts two through five.
 
After losing six-straight No. 1 singles matches, Kristof Minarik turned it around with a straight-set victory over Creighton's Matthew Lanahan to get back in the win column.
 
Minarik and Alex Richards hold the best doubles record for the Shockers, recording nine wins at the top line, while Misha Kvantaliani and Orel Ovil have teamed up for eight at No. 2.
 
The Shockers are 1-0 against the Owls (18-4), winning the only matchup 4-1 a year ago in Dallas, Texas.
 
Scouting Temple
Temple is coming off a 7-0 sweep of Georgetown, marking its 11th 7-0 sweep this season.
 
The Owls are 0-2 against ranked opponents this season, dropping two close ones, 4-3, to No. 61 Penn and No. 50 Princeton.
 
Thibault Frumholz is undefeated (10-0) at No. 5 singles and holds the best singles record on the team at 19-1.
 
Marin Delmas has been a staple at the No. 1 singles position, maintaining a 16-5 record, and has partnered with Gregoire Barety at No. 1 doubles (6-4) until Frumholz and Leo Raquin took over the top line and went 10-0.
