The Wichita State men's tennis team heads to Norman Sunday to take on a Sooner team that is receiving votes in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Coaches Poll before returning home to host Texas Tech.

"We're excited for two tough matches this weekend," head coach
Darragh Glavin said. "We've had some rest after seven matches in 10 days, but we've been back to work getting prepared for this weekend."

Oklahoma is 6-1 with their lone loss being handed to them by No. 11 Tennessee when they were ranked No. 11 in the NCAA.

"Oklahoma is a great team receiving votes, and we will be going in there ready to leave it all on the court," Glavin said. "It's a great opportunity for us to play against a top team like Oklahoma early in the season."

Kristof Minarik has experience beating their No. 1 singles player Alex Martinez, defeating him 7-5, 6-1 in the second round of the ITA Regionals in the fall.

The following day, the Shockers (4-3) play host to the Red Raiders at Genesis Health Clubs. Texas Tech is 2-3 with two losses from top-10 teams.
