WICHITA, Kan. – Reigning NJCAA Division I Men's Golf National Champion Jose Miguel Ramirez signed on the dotted line with the Wichita State Men's Golf Team on National Signing Day.

Head Coach
Judd Easterling is thrilled to add Ramirez to his 2024-25 roster.
Â
"Jose is going to come in here ready to play and compete," said Easterling. "He's an overall just great human being and just a tried-and-true player and competitor. He's a 'dawg' who will be able to step in and play well for us immediately next year."
Â
Ramirez, a native of Maturin, Venezuela, is expected to provide an immediate impact to next year's lineup. As mentioned, Ramirez won the individual 2023 NJCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kansas. He finished 12-under par to claim the title by two strokes. He also led Indian Hills Community College to the team title in the same tournament. The Warriors sprinted to the team title finishing 11 strokes ahead of second place.
Â
In additional to his National Championship, Ramirez was an All-NJCAA First Team Selection in 2023 and was First Team All-Region XI.
Â
So far this season, Ramirez has continued to impress, finishing in the top-25 in each of Indian Hills' five fall tournaments. His best finish this year is second place at the Folds of Honor Challenge back on September 11.
Â
"We are just so excited to get Jose here. He's won some major events and we're looking forward to having him next year."
Â
Ramirez is the son of Francis Cerrudo and Jose Gregorio Ramirez. He has two brothers, Jose Andres and Jose Guillermo. He is planning to major in sport administration at Wichita State.
