TEMPE, Ariz. – The Wichita State men's tennis team fell to Illinois, 6-1, Saturday afternoon in Tempe, Arizona.

The Fighting Illini (2-0) won the doubles point and five of six singles matches in the neutral site match at the Kiwanis Tennis Center.

The Shockers' (1-1) earned their only point of the match by way of an
Alejandro Jacome victory at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-4.

Alex Richards won their doubles match 6-4 go move to 1-1 on the season as a duo.

Wichita State is back in action tomorrow for a doubleheader in Tempe. The Shockers face Bryant at 10 a.m. CT, followed by a dual with Arizona State at 1 p.m. CT.
