DALLAS, Texas – The Wichita State men's tennis team fell 4-2 to No. 37 Memphis on day one of a three-match weekend at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex in Dallas, Texas.

Luka Mrsic increased their doubles winning streak to five straight with their court two victory, but the Shockers fell at No. 1 and No. 3 to drop the doubles point to the Tigers.

Kristof Minarik picked up the first singles win of the match, defeating David Stevenson, 6-3, 6-2, at court two to improve to 12-5 in duals. Memphis regained the lead with wins at No. 3 and No. 5 before
Nicolas Acevedo claimed victory, 6-4, 7-5, in his return to the top line, improving to 11-5 in duals. The Tigers clinched the match with a 6-4, 7-6(1) win on court six.
Wichita State returns to the courts in Dallas on Saturday at noon to face the host team, No. 31 SMU.
