ABILENE, Texas -- The Wichita State women's tennis team dropped a closely-contested dual match Saturday afternoon at Abilene Christian by a score of 4-3.

The teams split six singles matches – four of which went the distance – but the hosts tipped the scales by winning the doubles point.

Jessie Zheng and
Harriet Hamilton accounted for the three WSU points at Nos. 2, 3 and 6 singles respectively.

LingWei Kong dropped a close match at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 and
Dohee Lee came out on the short end of a 7-5, 0-6, 7-5 decision at No. 5.
