Box Score MESA, Ariz. – The Wichita State men's tennis team fell 2-4 to No. 33 Texas Tech in the third-place match at the ASU Spring Break Tournament Sunday at the Kiwanis Tennis Center.
 
After splitting Friday and Saturday's matches, the No. 72 Shockers found themselves in a battle for third with Texas Tech, who they lost to, 0-4, last week. Following a doubles loss at court one, Luka Mrsic and Orel Ovil evened things up at No. 2 with a 6-2 win, and Jackie Lin and Ray Lo went back and forth with their No. 3 doubles opponents, ultimately prevailing 7-5 to give the Shockers the 1-0 lead.
 
Taking to the courts for singles, Alex Richards picked up the sole win for the Shockers at No. 4 with a 6-2, 6-4 victory, but Texas Tech snagged wins at courts six, three, two and one to clinch the match.
 
The Shockers return home for a doubleheader against Cowley and Northwest Missouri State March 26.
