FORT WORTH, Texas – The Wichita State men's tennis team dropped its first match of the season 4-2 to Tulsa on day one of the ITA Kickoff Weekend Saturday.

The Shockers (3-1) dropped the doubles point after losing 2-6 at court three and 4-6 at court two. In singles, Tulsa (3-1) extended their lead to 3-0 after winning at No. 5 and No. 1 in straight sets, but the Shockers battled back with come-from-behind wins from
Nicolas Acevedo at court two (2-6, 6-2, 6-2) and
Kristof Minarik at court three (2-6, 6-4, 6-2). At No. 4,
Luka Mrsic won the first set, 6-2, but ultimately gave up the clinching point to the Golden Hurricane.
