IRVING, Texas – Wichita State freshman outfielder/first baseman
Chuck Ingram was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for his performance on the field during the week of April 26 through May 2, the conference office announced Monday, May 3.

Ingram, who hails from Kansas City, Mo., receives his first-career weekly honor after hitting a team-best .455, helping the Shockers earn a four-game, series split with eighth-ranked and conference preseason favorite East Carolina April 30 through May 2 in Wichita.

Ingram tallied five hits in 11 at bats, including a pair of homers while posting three runs scored, four RBI, two walks, a perfect 1.000 slugging percentage and a .571 on-base percentage in four games.

In the Shockers' 12-2, seven-inning, run-rule win over the Pirates in game two of a doubleheader Friday, April 30, he went 1-for-2 at the plate and smashed a three-run home run to right field in WSU's eight-run seventh inning.

His second homer occurred Sunday, May 2, in Wichita State's 11-9 series finale victory when he crushed a solo shot over the scoreboard in left field in the bottom of the third inning.

Wichita State (22-17, 10-9 American) is scheduled to travel to UCF (22-22, 12-8 American) for a four-game series May 7-9 in Orlando, Fla.
