NEW ORLEANS – The Wichita State University volleyball team fell to the Tulane Green Wave in five sets, 3-2, Saturday, March 13, at Avron B. Fogelman Arena. The set scores were 23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 22-25 and 7-15.
 
Wichita State (8-5, 3-5 American) is scheduled to return home to Charles Koch Arena for a non-conference match against Kansas Thursday, March 18, at 6 p.m.
 
Sophia Rohling and freshman Marriah Buss each tallied 13 kills, while McKayla Wuensch added 29 assists, Lily Liekweg had 23 digs, and Sinalauli'i Uluave compiled three service aces, leading the Shockers.
 
Buss's 13 kills, Liekweg's 23 digs and Uluave's three service aces all marked career bests.
 
WSU outhit Tulane (7-8, 5-3 American) in the match, .243 to .207, but were outhit by the Green Wave in the fourth and fifth sets, .278 to .243 and .333 to .000.
 
Lexie Douglas and Kayla Dinkins both had 15 kills, leading Tulane.
