Lily Liekweg tallied a career-best 28 digs but it wasn't enough, as the Wichita State volleyball team fell to the Kansas Jayhawks, 3-1, inside Charles Koch Arena Thursday, March 18. The set scores were 25-18, 19-25, 13-25 and 15-25.

Wichita State (8-6) is scheduled to play the Jayhawks (9-10) in Lawrence, Kan., Saturday, March 20, at 4 p.m.

Wright, a middle blocker from Phoenix, Ariz., posted a dozen kills on 24 attempts with no errors while also tallying a match-best four block assists.

Kayce Litzau added a team-high 18 assists, respectively.

Wichita State outhit Kansas in its 25-18 opening set win, .243 to .149, but ended up being bested by the Jayhawks for the match, .243 to .083.

Anezka Szabo had a match-high 15 kills and hit .448, Jenny Mosser added a double-double with 11 kills and 15 digs, and Ayah Elnady compiled 10 kills with four service aces, pacing the Jayhawks.
