NEW ORLEANS – The Wichita State University volleyball team fell at Tulane, 3-1, Friday, March 12, in the first of two matches at Avron B. Fogelman Arena. The set scores were 25-27, 25-23, 20-25 and 16-25.

Wichita State (8-4, 3-4 American) and Tulane (6-8, 4-3 American) are slated to face each other one more time in New Orleans Saturday, March 13, at 1 p.m.

Redshirt junior outside hitter
Megan Taflinger tallied a season-high 16 kills and hit .400 to pace the Shockers, while freshman
Natalie Foster added a career-high 11 kills.
Sophia Rohling also reached double digits in kills with 11, respectively.

Kayce Litzau added a team-high 25 assists and two service aces, and
Lily Liekweg compiled 14 digs.

Tulane outhit Wichita State in the match, .358 to .245.

Lexie Douglas had a match-best 18 kills, and Mackenzie Martin added a double-double with 14 kills and 12 digs, pacing the Green Wave.
