DENVER, Co. - Wichita State men's tennis dropped a match to Denver, 6-1, on Friday but bounced back on Saturday by beating UNLV, 4-0, at the Denver Tennis Park.

Denver had firm control of the doubles features. The Pioneers picked up wins versus the Shocker 1's and 2's to snatch the point.

Singles
Orel Ovil picked up the only point for the Shocker's on the day. He came back from down a set to win at No. 5 against Denver's Krulig, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Luka Mrsic was also forced to play a third set at No. 6 after he won the second. He was unable to keep the momentum and dropped the match, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2.

The doubles matched proved to be a tight affair. The Shockers picked up the first doubles win at No. 2 when
Stefan Latinovic and
Luka Mrsic picked up their seventh doubles win of the year, 6-3. The Rebels won on three and then all heads turned to the top court. No. 28
Marius Frosa and
Murkel Dellien were up 5-2, but the Rebels brought it to 5-4 before the Shocker duo clinched the point at 7-5.

Singles
Ray Lo came flying out the gate and set the tone for the Shokcers at No. 6. Lo beat Ciszewski, 6-0, 6-1, to win his sixth singles match of the year and improve his team-best record to 6-1.

The next two court wins came in quick succession for the Shockers.
Nicolas Acevedo was forced to win a seventh game in the second set to top his opponent, 6-2, 7-5, and Ovil clinched the match soon after with a flipped score, 7-5, 6-2.

When play was halted, Latinovic was close to winning and up, 4-6, 6-1, 5-2, while
Murkel Dellien was in the middle of fighting for a third set, 3-6, 6-5. Frosa won his first set but was about to start a third one when play was suspended.
