Addison Barnard drove in five runs on a perfect 4-for-4 night to help Wichita State defeat Central Oklahoma, 15-2, Friday night at Wilkins Stadium.

Barnard delivered the big boom on her second inning grand slam, which put the Shockers in front, 6-0. Sydney McKinney collected three hits to go with three RBI - all three coming in the bottom of the fifth behind a bases clearing double.

Neleigh Herring and Camryn Compton both added a pair of RBI on the night, while Zoe Jones and Lainee Brown crushed back-to-back solo home runs in a five-run bottom of the ninth inning.

Erin McDonald recorded another strong outing in the circle, going 4.0 innings with five strikeouts, no hits and no runs allowed. Kenzie Schopfer struck out three and gave up only two hits in 2.0 innings. Alison Cooper finished the contest (4.0 IP) and was rolling right along through the first three, but gave up four hits and two runs in the top of the 10th.

Wichita State is right back on the field Saturday vs. Emporia State at 1 p.m.
