NORMAN, Okla. - Wichita State men's tennis failed to upset No. 23 Oklahoma, but they completed a sweep of Abilene Christian to improve to 5-2 on the season.

Doubles
The Shockers controlled the doubles matches from the first serve. In the second spot, Luka Mrsic and Stefan Latinovic continued their excellent doubles form and beat Oklahoma's Mandlik/Hotard, 6-1. Orel Ovil and Nicolas Acevedo had similar success in the third sport, downing OU's Schlageter/Stewart, 6-2, and winning the doubles point for the Shokcers.
 
Both teams agreed to finish out the match versus the top pairs. This was the first time the All-American duo of No. 32 Murkel Dellien and Marius Frosa played together this season. It was a tight match and forced to go to a tiebreak. The Sooners' duo was able to squeeze out a win, 7-6 (8-6.)
 
Singles
Frosa was a bright spot at the top of the lineup and quickly dispatched Mandlik, 6-0, 6-4. Three other singles matches went into third sets. Ovil won his second set after going down, but lost to Martinez, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3. Two and three both had to be decided in tiebreaks, but Latinovic and Dellien were both unable to come out on top.

The Shockers' fine doubles form continued into the ACU match. Dellien/Frosa picked up their first win of the season with a 6-3 win over the Wildcats' Tran/Chhabra. Mrsic/Latinovic also picked up another win over Cano/Delgado, 6-3. Alex Richards and Yi Jui Lo were forced to stop playing up 5-3.
 
Singles
Every single singles match was decided in straight sets. Frosa finished first with a win over Chhabra, 6-2, 6-1. At the six spot, Alex Richards played in his first match of the season and won at six over Rastroj, 6-1, 6-1. Dellien picked up his first win on the season over Cano, 6-2, 6-3.
