COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Shockers dropped their sixth straight decision to the Old Dominion Monarchs, 5-2, at the Mizzou Tennis Complex on Saturday.
 
Doubles
Old Dominion featured a top 10 doubles pair and they lived up to their ranking against No. 54 Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva and Marta Bellucco and won, 6-2. Ting-ya Hsu and Natsumi Kurahashi picked up a win on court three, but it wasn't enough as ODU won the second court to clinch to doubles point.
 
Singles
The top four courts began play first. Saidhujaeva competed against ODU's highest ranked singles player, No. 33 Hutchinson, and Esther Thebault faced the other ranked player, No. 107 Starodubtseva. Thebault lost in straight sets but Saidhujaeva forced a third set tiebreak to almost complete the upset, 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (7-3).
 
The Shockers picked up wins on courts four and six. Kong had to face two tiebreaks and won the one in the third set to clinch court four, 6-3, 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (7-3). Lazarova's court was the last match to start and finished quickly. She got a straight set win over ODU's Sasnouskaya, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3).
