IOWA CITY, Iowa – All-Americans Murkel Dellien and Marius Frosa upset the No. 10 doubles team in the country Sunday, but the Shockers fell to the Iowa Hawkeyes by a score of 4-2 at the Hawkeye Tennis Center, in Iowa City, Iowa.
 
The Shockers will return home on Friday, February 21, as they take on the UT Arlington Mavericks at Genesis Health Club, at noon.
 
Every doubles match was a fight to the end with all six pairings not wanting to give an inch. Elio Lago and Orel Ovil were the first to claim victory, defeating Kareem Allaf and Nikita Snezhko, 7-5. The Hawkeyes quickly answered with a 7-5 win over Benjamin Niv and Stefan Latinovic on court two, which meant Dellien and Frosa would have to triumph over one of the best duos in the country to clinch the doubles point, which they did. Will Davies and Oliver Okonkwo, who are currently No. 10 in doubles, fell to the Shocker All-Americans, 6-4.
 
In singles, Frosa showed why he is currently No. 107 in singles as he swiftly found a way to win over Matt Clegg, 6-2, 6-3. Dellien was chasing a second upset on court one as he took No. 53 Allaf to a third set before their match was suspended. Lago and Ovil were also able to battle to a third set on their respective courts.
