Wichita State softball continues fall play this weekend with two matchups; one at home and one on the road. The Shockers host Central Oklahoma on Saturday at 1 p.m., before traveling to Stillwater to face Oklahoma State on Sunday for a 3 p.m. first pitch.
WSU won its fall opener last Saturday against Southern Nazarene, 18-3. Three Shockers hit home runs in the exhibition, including a grand slam from freshman
Bailey Urban.
Central Oklahoma is coming off a 48-8 season in 2019, highlighted by a trip to the NCAA Division II Central Super Regional. This marks the second straight season Wichita State and UCO will square off in a fall scrimmage. The Shockers defeated the Bronchos, 13-2 a season ago.
Oklahoma State is fresh off a trip to the College World Series and a season sweep of WSU in 2019. Last fall, the Cowgirls won a tight contest in Wichita, 9-7.
Both games will feature a 10-inning format and admission is $5 at the gate for Saturday's home game. There will be no advanced purchase available with Wichita State students able to receive free admission with proof of WSU ID.
