GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Wichita State men's golf team finished up the second round of the Furman Intercollegiate on Saturday.

The Shockers are currently in 17th place after compiling a 299 team score. Yannik Emmert leads the Shockers individually, currently sitting tied for 18th after the first two rounds.

After a 1-over par performance in the first round, Emmert collected three birdies in his first seven holes. After a double bogey on the 17th green, the senior responded by shooting five of his next six holes for par while coming up with another birdie.

Emmert closed out his day with another 72, keeping him in the top 20. Zac Owens improved his score to a 150 after shooting six strokes lower than his first round performance, moving him in a tie for 60th. Owens also led the tournament field in par 5 scoring with -6.

Brock Polhill is tied for 83rd after shooting a 79 in the second round while Palmer Hays lowered his second round score by seven strokes, compiling his total to 161. Dawson Lewis finished with a 78 and has a 36-hole score of 162.

Following a second place placement after the first round, Coastal Carolina jumped into the lead after shooting 279. They lead Davidson and Furman by six strokes heading into the final round. Cincinnati is currently in 12th place and leads Wichita State by 12 strokes.

Tee-off begins at 8 a.m. CT on Sunday with the final round. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.
