RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - The Wichita State men's golf team wrapped up its first tournament of the 2019 spring season at The Farms Invitational on Tuesday.

Yannik Emmert, Zac Owens and Brock Polhill were unable to finish the third round due to team travel. Emmert finished with a 149 36-hole score while Polhill ended with a 163.

After shooting an 80 in the first round, Zac Owens collected five birdies to claim a 72 in the second round. His second round score moved him into the top 30 heading into the final round. Owens finished with a 152 in the tournament.

Freshman Dawson Lewis tied for 50th after shooting a 75 in the final round, carding a 238. Senior Adrien Michellod finished with an 81 in the third round and carded a 254.

California won the event in dominating fashion, besting Loyola Marymount by 36 strokes as a team. Wichita State finished 10th with an overall score of 783.

The Shockers return to action on Feb. 23 for the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, La.
